Urnas funerárias revelam práticas dos povos originários da Amazônia Uma recente descoberta arqueológica no município de Fonte Boa, no Amazonas, na região do Médio Solimões, promete trazer novos conhecimentos sobre os modos de vida dos povos originários da Amazônia. Apesar de ter ocorrido em um já conhecido sítio arqueológico, denominado Lago do Cochila, o achado foi ao acaso: a queda de uma árvore revelou sete urnas funerárias em cerâmica, duas delas de grande volume. A estimativa é que os artefatos já tenham milhares de anos. Arqueólogos e comunidade se unem frente às descobertas, que desvendam modos de vida de indígenas do passado e sua relação com a morte e o morrer. Although it took place in a well-known archaeological site called Lago do Cochila [Cochila Lake], the find was random: the fall of a tree revealed seven ceramic funerary urns, two of which were very large. It is estimated that the artifacts are thousands of years old.
