Black representation in the Amazon

A survey by Redação Integrada de O Liberal [O Liberal Integrated Newsroom] with collected data from Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) [Superior Electoral Court] shows that only 3.38% of congressmen in office within the states that constitute the Legal Amazon are black. Such number potentializes the history of racism and racial discrimination of a country that has always denied the color of its people. By Cinthia Gatti and Victor Furtado.
