Festival de Parintins celebra identidade amazônica em megaespectáculo
No próximo fim de semana, entre 26 e 28 de junho, uma cidade amazônica vai, mais uma vez, sediar o que é considerado o maior espetáculo folclórico a céu aberto do mundo: o Festival de Parintins. Realizado na cidade de mesmo nome, no Amazonas, o Festival ocorre desde 1965, no formato de uma disputa histórica entre dois grupos de boi-bumbá: o Garantido, representado pela cor vermelha, e o Caprichoso, simbolizado pela cor azul. A festa dura três noites e mistura música, dança, artes visuais, teatro, alegorias, lendas amazônicas, rituais indígenas e elementos da cultura cabocla. “É uma celebração da identidade amazônica que transformou uma brincadeira popular de rua em um grande espetáculo cultural”, afirma Allan Rodrigues, professor da Faculdade de Informação e Comunicação da Universidade Federal do Amazonas (Ufam). "It is a celebration of Amazonian identity that has transformed a popular street game into a great cultural spectacle," says Allan Rodrigues, professor at the Faculty of Information and Communication of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM).
